RIHANNA has reignited her feud with Jennifer Lopez, saying she turned down the Super Bowl half-time show because she didn’t want to be a “sellout”.

Her old rival J.Lo and Shakira have instead been brought in to provide the entertainment at the 2020 game’s half-time show in Miami.

Speaking to Vogue about the usually highly-coveted gig, Rihanna, 31, replied: “I couldn’t dare do that.”

She referred to the scandal in American football surrounding its former star Colin Kaepernick, who couldn’t find a club after coming under fire for protesting during the national anthem at games.

Rihanna added: “For what? Who gains from that? Not my people. I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler.

“There’s things within that organisation that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.”

However, many fans interpreted the no-nonsense comments as a dig at 50-year-old Jennifer.

One wrote: “The only part I really care about this story is the girl s**t. You can be sure Riri hates JLo.”

Another laughed: “Ha ha ha! I’m wondering how much shade she’s also throwing at her one-time BFF, JLo?”

Rihanna and Jennifer were indeed once close friends, with Ri-Ri even gifting her a pair of blue thigh-high boots with a note addressing her pal as: “The Baddest.”

However, she unfollowed her on Instagram when rumours emerged that J.Lo had grown close to Rihanna’s on-off love interest Drake.

Seemingly, not wishing to stay silent on the matter, Jennifer later posted a picture of the 32-year-old rapper hugging her on a sofa.

However, if there was a romance it didn’t take off – with J.Lo settling down with Alex Rodriguez instead.
