Chris Brown thinks Rihanna has gone “up” by dating Leonardo DiCaprio and gives him their blessings if the rumours are true.

The ‘Yeah 3x’ hitmaker, who was convicted of assaulting the singer at ahead of the Grammys in 2009, insists he isn’t “jealous” of his former girlfriend’s rumoured new boyfriend and thinks she has made a good choice with the Wolf of Wall Street actor.

“I respect her enough to respect her privacy and her space, because I can’t believe everything I hear in the news. But what I see, I’ll be like, ‘OK cool, there might be something else going on’,” he said.

“I’m gonna have to give her that, because you know what? Ain’t nowhere else you coulda went though. High five.

“You can only go up, and that’s the upper, upper echelon… I’m not even a hater. I’ll give you a slap on the back, booty, everything, ‘Hey, do your thing. Good game.'”

Chris continued: “In that situation, I just tip my hat. I’m not a hater. I’m not envious, I don’t feel jealous. Do your thing. I can’t have it all, brotha.”

The 25-year-old singer also admitted he didn’t get in touch with Rihanna on her 27th birthday last week – because he was afraid any contact would earn him a “slap” from on/off girlfriend Karrueche Tran.

Asked if he had wished Rihanna happy birthday, he told radio station Hot 97: “Nah, I ain’t getting’ slapped. My girl would’ve slapped me.”

Despite his frank comments, the ‘Run It’ star has now vowed to stop speaking about his former flame.

He tweeted after the interview: I’ve given the world enough opinions. I’m not doing no more interviews unless it’s about my art or music. It’s nothing else anyone needs.

“Don’t ask me about Drake or Rihanna. Anything u need to hear is in all our music. #500 (sic)”

Rihanna and Leonardo DiCaprio are doing nothing to stop the rumour mill over whether they are dating, as they were spotted arriving at the same nightclub in the early hours of the morning on Valentine’s Day.

The S&M star was seen arriving at Wolf of Wall Street star Leo’s home at 1am before they separately went to Up and Down.

RiRi and Leo were both up for a late night as they were then seen leaving the club at 4.30am moments apart from each other in different cars.

Rihanna covered up against the chilly New York weather in a full length furry pink coat over a metallic burgundy dress and matching strappy sandals.

Leonardo kept his head down underneath a grey cap, which he wore with a pair of dark blue jeans and navy sweater.

Last month, the rumoured couple were seen making brisk but separate entrances to a Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill’s birthday bash at the into the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood, which was also attended by Taylor Swift and Harry Styles.

The couple were first seen partying together at the Playboy Mansion, with TMZ claiming that the pair were “getting super steamy and even swapping spit”.
