Mexico City. (Vanguard of Veracruz) – Three men, including two of Ukrainian nationality, were detained by officers of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) in Mexico City, when they apparently illegally stole hydrocarbons, this in a property located in the Granjas México neighborhood , in the office of the mayor of Iztacalco.

As reported by the authorities, the events took place on the night of Thursday, February 1, when a fire was reported in a property located at the intersection of Azafrán Street and Francisco del Paso and Troncoso Avenue.

Immediately, the officers moved to the area where they observed a column of smoke, so they interviewed the manager of the area nervously, but he turned them down, saying that he would only let the firefighters pass.

At the same time, two men got out and started running in different directions, causing the officers to start a short chase that ended on the same road after arresting one of them while, in a white car parked at the corner, they arrested the second person.

After arresting the men, uniformed officers entered the area and conducted a search, after which they recovered two white cargo trucks fitted with containers for the transfer of fuel and a container made of the tarp, wrench and hose, where the possibly illegally obtained hydrocarbons are stored.

Also on the site, there are plastic containers of different sizes and dimensions, as well as drums with possible hydrocarbons and other voids, hoses connected to stopcocks, cardboard boxes, and other things.

The detainees, aged 47, 45 and 43, are placed at the disposal of the agent of the Public Ministry, who will put together the corresponding investigation file and determine their legal status.

Elements from the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) and Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) also arrived at the site to disconnect the devices and analyze the liquids found, where the property protection and cargo trucks were left.
