The Yankees’ exact offer to Blake Snell isn’t known, but word is they were willing to go “above Rodon,” which presumably means more than the $27 million per year Carlos Rodon got on his six-year Yankees deal.

Yankees people suggest they aren’t looking at the starter market.

Though the $162M Rodon deal was a measuring stick for the Yankees, it’s also believed Rodon’s rough first season in The Bronx made the them less willing to go huge for Snell.

It is believed the two-time Cy Young winner seeks $30M-plus and likely views one comp as Stephen Strasburg — who got $245M over seven years, which is $35M a year.

The Yankees were one of about 15 teams to view Noah Syndergaard’s recent throwing sessions (he reached the mid 90s), though no word yet if the Mets have ventured to view him.

The Yankees continue to talk to a bevy of relievers — including Phil Maton, Ryan Brasier and Keynan Middleton.

The Mets, Cardinals, Diamondbacks, Orioles, Rays, Dodgers and Cardinals are other teams seeking bullpen help.
