Henry Cavill Gets Upstaged by 3 Supernatural Actors in 2023’s Hottest Celebs List

Henry Cavill has proven himself to be an interesting actor to watch out for. In addition to his movies, his charming and relatable demeanor in interviews has always won the hearts of fans. The actor has always been among the top picks of the hottest names among male celebs. However, this year, three other actors managed to upstage him in the list of 2023’s hottest names.

Ranker put out the list of the hottest male celebs of 2023, and Cavill is shockingly in the fourth place. The top 3 spots were surprisingly nabbed by three Supernatural actors, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played the Winchester men in the series. The actors have all found new audiences with newfound successes in 2023.

Ackles is already a fan favorite, playing the wild and intimidating Soldier Boy in The Boys Universe. Morgan’s return as Negan in his own spinoff sequel to The Walking Dead also impressed fans, while Padalecki is also riding high on the success of his crime drama series Walker.

Henry Cavill Explains His Unique Fight Sequence Process in Argylle

Henry Cavill is returning to the big screen this coming next year with Matthew Vaughn’s Argylle. The film sees Cavill playing a fictional superspy created by a writer played by Bryce Dallas Howard. Sam Rockwell plays the real-life spy who saves Howard in real life. Cavill and Rockwell served as parallel characters, and this created an interesting scenario in the film.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cavill explained how he and Rockwell had to mimic each other’s fighting styles during an action sequence so that Vaughn and the editors could intercut between them in the same scene (to show Howard’s perception of the situation). He said,

“Sam and I were watching each other and just trying to make sure that we had a similarity of movements. Certain movements worked better for him, so I would mimic those, and then different movements in other places worked better for me, so he would copy those. Fight scenes are tricky and complex, especially in a cramped space like that with lots of hard edges.”

Judging from the trailer, the film already looks like a fun and unique take on the spy genre. The film has a stacked cast, which also includes other actors like Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, John Cena, and Samuel L. Jackson. The film will be released in theatres on February 2, 2024.
