Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been very busy the past year. Between Jennifer’s new album, This is Me… Now, their movie This is Me… Now: A Love Story, and working on their marriage, their schedule has been full.

Recently, the singer appeared on Today With Hoda & Jenna and played a game the hosts called “This Is Me… Now or Then?” inspired by her new album, of course. The game consisted of Hoda Kotb asking questions and Jennifer replying if they applied to her now or in the past.

When asked a question about jealousy, Jennifer immediately replied that she’s very jealous of Ben Affleck to this day. “Don’t play with me. Do not play with me.”

Interested, Hoda doubled down and asked “What would you do if someone started flirting with Ben?” The singer didn’t mince words.

“First of all, I’m a lover, not a fighter, but I will let them know in a very elegant and lady-like way to step all the way off.”

The couple have known each other and been together for a very long time, first dating for a couple of years in the early 2000s, and then reconnecting in 2021. They tied the knot in 2022, and had been sharing domestic bliss, until recently, when rumors of a split arose.

Questions about the state of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage came up when they were spotted having a somewhat heated argument in the middle of their vacation. Now, to conclude from that they are splitting up would be a reach, as all couples fight now and then.

It’s the explanation that came after that raised rumors. A source shared some context on the fight, which left fans worried about their relationship.

“Ben wanted this vacation to be relaxing but Jennifer’s up at 6 a.m. dictating their schedule,” the source explained. “She’s extremely picky about everything, from maid service to where to eat dinner. Sometimes Ben can’t hide his annoyance, and that’s what people were seeing in St. Barts.”

The source also added that they have this conflict in most areas of their lives, and that their personalities clash in that way, with Ben wanting to go with the flow and Jennifer wanting to be more hands on.

However, despite all this, they are not giving up. “It takes a lot of energy for Ben to be married to Jennifer, but he loves her,” the source went on. “They get on each other’s nerves and then it’s amazing. It’s always hills and valleys with them.”
