Jason Momoa revealed this week that he has been living the nomadic life recently.

The 44-year-old Aquaman star shared with ET that he’s without a full-time home at the moment, though his considerable wealth means that he’s still living as comfortably as he wants.

Fittingly, the actor — who settled his divorce from Lisa Bonet earlier this week — has been traveling the US in recent months as he filmed his reality series On The Roam for Max (formerly HBO Max), which premieres on January 18.

‘Bro, I don’t even have a home right now,’ he put it bluntly during the chat. ‘I live on the road.’

He added that he was about to travel to New Zealand to begin filming the Minecraft movie, which is being helmed by Napoleon Dynamite director Jared Hess.

‘I’m always in these weird places,’ he said of his travels for his film career. ‘You’re gonna find me on the road. It happens all the time. They’re like, “What the hell are you doing in our hometown?”

‘I hope everyone loves it,’ Jason said.

Despite having traveled around the country for a while now, he said he still gets a kick out of seeing people’s shocked expressions when they spot him driving through their towns or making a pit stop.

‘I’m always in these weird places,’ he explained. ‘You’re gonna find me on the road. It happens all the time. They’re like, “What the hell are you doing in our hometown?”

The chance encounters gave Jason an opportunity to share some of the details of filmmaking with his new acquaintances.

‘I love the idea of just being with everyday people and doing my craft, which is filming, and then showing them,’ he said. ‘And so, I think through doing that for so long, I got to be curious about it.’

But Jason’s travels across the country — sometimes for film or television projects — also inspired him to learn more about the arts and crafts that other people practice far from Hollywood.

‘These are the things I really want to do, and hopefully by doing that and creating something and passing it on to charity,’ he said. ‘I’m like, “Wow, this feels good.” I’m doing what I want to do.’

He added that the upcoming season of his series On The Roam will include encounters with the craftspeople responsible for creating aspects of his films and TV shows. Other adventures will see him getting to help rebuild a 1920s Rolls-Royce Phantom and meeting with the photographer Todd Hido.

‘It’s very much my passion for handcrafted artisans,’ the Game Of Thrones star continued. ‘The things that I truly love, wanting to honor the people who inspire me, and then wanting to make stuff that’s really cool for charity, so that they can, you know, bring all this kind of attention to these artisans. So, when people see the show, I’ll jump on Instagram and try to get going so we can auction off a lot of these cool things and spread some love.’
