Who would have thought that even Superman can sometimes get embarrassed?

While Henry Cavill is known for his role as the DC character, it was his antics on Netflix’s The Witcher that left him with what the actor thought to be an uncool injury. Although it was rather serious, at the time, the 40-year-old seemed to be more focused on how it had ended up happening.

Cavill may no longer be a part of the fantasy series. However, there is no doubt that this moment has haunted him since it happened 3 years ago. He even once shared his thoughts about it and how he had healed.

Henry Cavill shed light on his injury from The Witcher

Fans of The Witcher know that Henry Cavill used to perform his own stunts. While that was dangerous, the actor had practiced at length just to wield his sword. However, one mishap on set during filming for the second season of the show led to a hamstring injury. In a 2-year-old interview with Hollywood Reporter, the actor ended up sharing that he had torn his hamstring while running through the woods for a scene.

While it might have been a relief to most that it was not as bad as it could have been, the actor wished that the way it happened could have been “something cool” like, “fighting something monstrous.” It was just a torn hamstring, but the doctors had told him that he was lucky it was not worse. Thankfully, Cavill seems to have healed up nicely over the last couple of years.

In fact, after the injury, he even geared up to take on his role as Geralt one last time before he moved on to the other projects he had in his arsenal.

Henry Cavill’s first project after The Witcher

When Henry Cavill announced that he would be leaving The Witcher, fans were heartbroken. After all, he had just recently been removed from his Superman role and his well-wishers were already wondering when they would see him next. While most people thought it would take the star some time before he got back into the acting saddle, he ended up landing a role in the upcoming fantasy spy thriller, Argylle.

The trailer and teasers for the film made their way online last year and ended up garnering a lot of attention. Although Cavill’s bizarre hairdo stole the spotlight, his co-stars also left fans at a loss for words. From Dua Lipa to John Cena and more, the cast list seemed to be absolutely star-studded. Thankfully for fans of the actor, the film has been scheduled to release on 2nd February 2024, which is less than a month away.
