On Monday, the Los Angeles Dodgers made a substantial move to their bullpen when the organization decided to part ways with southpaw reliever Caleb Ferguson.The Dodgers traded Ferguson to the New York Yankees in exchange for two prospects.
On Tuesday, Ferguson broke his silence via Instagram, saying goodbye to Los Angeles and hello to New York.

Ferguson was traded to New York for lefty reliever Matt Gage and pitching prospect Christian Zazueta Jr.
Ferguson was a member of the Dodgers from 2018 to 2023. In those five seasons (he didn't play in 2021 as he recovered from Tommy John surgery), he went 18-9 with a 3.43 ERA, 247 strikeouts, and a 1.29 WHIP in 207.1 innings and 201 games.
Ferguson will work with fellow former Dodger Victor Gonzalez as the left-handed relievers in the Yankees' bullpen.
Ferguson was a member of the 2020 World Series champion Dodgers team. While he didn't appear in the 2020 postseason, he's been dominant in his playoff career, making eight scoreless appearances across 5.1 innings pitched in 2018 and 2023.
Ferguson and the Yankees will welcome the Dodgers into Yankee Stadium from June 7-9 for a reunion between the two sides.

DWINDLING numbers of participants and rising costs are the reasons why Durrell’s running challenge has been brought to an end after “nine brilliant years”.
Organisers announced on Tuesday that the Durrell Challenge, a 13km road run from Victoria Park to Jersey Zoo, would “no longer be held” from this year onward.

The event, which raised funds for wildlife conservation, took place every May and regularly attracted hundreds of runners.
But in a statement, organisers said that since 2020, when the world was gripped by a global pandemic, participant numbers had “dwindled” and “costs to put on an event of this kind” had risen.
Alexandra Shears, director of communications and fundraising at Durrell, said: “After nine brilliant years of the Durrell Challenge, we’ve made the tough decision to stop holding this event.
“This will allow us to put more energy and focus towards our other fundraising efforts, including the Durrell Dash, our other long-standing running event.
“Sadly, since 2020, participant numbers for the Durrell Challenge have dwindled, and with rising costs to put on an event of this kind, we felt it was the right time for the challenge to end.”
She continued: “We are extremely grateful to everyone who took part, fundraised, and donated towards our mission of saving species from extinction over the past nine years. We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved along with our supporters through these fantastic events.”
The organisers have also encouraged Islanders to sign up for the Durrell Dash, a festive run which is due to take place on 1 December.
