It sounds like one former member of the Yankees is joining the Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers continue to make moves.

Just when you think the Dodgers have got to be done spending, they continue to throw more money out there. Los Angeles has been the big winner of the offseason by landing Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, Teoscar Hernández, and continued to make moves Monday.

Los Angeles reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with former Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, and Boston Red Sox worth roughly $11 million, according to USA Today Sports’ Bob Nightengale.

“The Dodgers are adding depth to the starting rotation by signing veteran James Paxton to a one-year contract,” Nightengale said. “He’ll receive a base salary of at least $11 million with incentives, per Chad Dey.”

Paxton was very steady for the Red Sox last season in his return to the mound. The veteran starter dealt with some injury troubles over the last few years, but returned last season and logged a 4.50 ERA in 19 starts with a 101-to-33 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

Los Angeles has to be considered the favorite to win the 2024 World Series title. The Yankees certainly should be considered one of the best teams in the American League, but Los Angeles has got to be the favorite.

The Dodgers entered the offseason looking to improve the starting rotation and have done so with three solid options.

At this point we have to wonder, what’s next for Los Angeles? They already have spent so much this offseason but it wouldn’t be surprising to see another move.
