Johnny Depp’s fans have paid court fees to release documents from Amber Heard’s therapist, Dr. Dawn Hughes. In it, scribbled notes show that the backstage of season 2 of Aquaman was quite “chaotic”, with Jason Momoa allegedly drunk and dressed as Johnny Depp, and Amber Heard also revealed she was forced to leave the blockbuster project.

“Jason said he wanted me fired,” ex-wife Johnny Depp’s note read, “Jason was drunk and arrived on set very late. He’s dressed like Johnny, like rings.”

The actor’s rep declined to comment for this story. A DC spokesperson denied the reports: “Jason Momoa always behaved professionally on the set of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.” Not only that, but the actor was also protected by many employees in the studio. They claim he works hard and occasionally drinks beer like everyone else, but he is not drunk, dressed like Johnny Depp as Amber Heard revealed.

Material from the actress’ psychotherapy session also paints a picture of where she was treated “like an inferior” because of her legal battle involving Johnny Depp. Accordingly, Amber thinks that she is despised by director James Wan himself.

“He raised his voice to me. I can’t even post about Aquaman, as if it’s my fault,” the note from Amber Heard’s therapy session read. However, a DC spokesperson also defended his director. DC asserts that James Wan has a reputation for treating crew members fairly and with the utmost respect. With Aquaman, James Wan still fosters a collaborative and positive environment on set.

The controversy continued when Amber Heard confessed to her therapist that she was almost fired in the DC movie. Specifically, after Aquaman debuted in 2018, the studio and James Wan decided to remove the actress from season 2 due to the bad combination with lead Jason Momoa. They also sent a letter to Amber’s lawyer informing them of the decision. In the letter, DC emphasized that the move to remove Amber Heard’s role was not related to the litigation with Johnny Depp and also took place before the two began their legal battle.

In the end, however, the studio didn’t fire Amber Heard. The reason is because the ex-boyfriend of the actress – billionaire Elon Musk – threatened the studio. In this threatening letter, the Tesla founder said he would “extinguish” DC if his girlfriend was not returned in season 2. Warner Bros. later relented and continued to work with Amber Heard.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom could be the last film in the DC Universe, because new CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran are starting to overhaul the franchise with new franchises and new actors. The two have yet to make it clear where Jason Momoa’s Aquaman character will stand in the new universe.

Part 2 of the blockbuster Aquaman with a series of troublesome behind-the-scenes scandals is expected to be released to audiences on December 20.
