Charlize Theron stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday to discuss her Oscar-nominated role in Bombshell, and she ended up discussing her worst date ever.

The 44 year old Oscar winner was discussing her unparalleled love for The Bachelor franchise, when Kimmel, 52, segued into asking her about her worst date ever.

While the date seemingly started out fine, it turned quite awkward thanks to a rather bizarre request, which even made her cry, as she teased on Instagram and Twitter.

Before the show aired on the East Coast, Theron shared a photo of her outfit, a low-cut black Givenchy dress, stating, ‘If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to burst into tears on national television from laughing so hard, watch @jimmykimmellive tonight to see me live that nightmare for you,’ she said, adding #Bombshellmovie.

When asked about the date on the show, she said it happened when she was in her 20s, and it seemed to start out quite well.

He picked me up for dinner and it was lovely. He drove me home and I sort of signaled that I went in for a kiss,’ Theron began.

‘He pulled over by my house and we started kissing and it was really good and he pulled away and said, “Make out with my nose,” she added, before starting to break into tears from laughing so hard.

The Bombshell star added, ‘I swear on my life. I’ve never forgotten it because I’ve never met somebody who likes to make out with their nose.’

When Kimmel asked if he was kidding, Theron responded, ‘No he was really into it. But it was really good and i didn’t want to ruin it so I gave him a peck on the nose and he said, “No really make out with it.”‘

The whole first date question came after a brief discussion of Theron’s undying affection for ABC’s The Bachelor franchise, with Kimmel joking, ‘The Bachelor gets a rose, you get a nose.’

Theron has not been shy about her love for The Bachelor franchise in the past, and Kimmel asked her what she loved about it.

‘I love the unpredictability,’ Theron said, but Kimmel added his wife picks the winner on the first episode every year.

Theron won an Oscar for her 2003 true story adaptation Monster, but she revealed that she slept through getting the nomination.

‘That’s a long time ago. I didn’t have children. Here’s the difference. When I got the nomination for that one – they do them really early, like 5 – I was still sleeping, till like 10. This nomination, I was dealing with two different sets of pee sheets. It was a rough night. Very different,’ she joked.

‘No, I don’t have that natural ability at all. I like doing this kind of work. She’s so distinctive with her sound and I worked with this wonderful woman and she helped me understand why she sound the way she does.

She added that this true story of former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes and his abusive behavior, ‘really was the first story that catapulted us into this movement we found ourselves in. When Gretchen Wilson filed this lawsuit, she was completely alone. It really is a huge accomplishment.’

When asked if she talked to Megyn Kelly, Theron said, ‘I think it’s kind of hard to relive something like this. Sexual harassment is one of the most horrible things to happen to a man or a woman in the workplace.’
