Caitlin Clark’s busy offseason will now include a sitdown with David Letterman

Caitlin Clark will take the stage with David Letterman next month as part of a lecture series at Ball State that the former late-night legend has hosted since 2008.

Clark will appear at the university, located in Muncie, Indiana, on Dec. 2 at the school’s Emens Auditorium, with the event kicking off at 7 p.m.

“David Letterman is our University’s most famous graduate. He is a native Hoosier and a national icon, and Caitlin Clark has quickly become a beloved Hoosier and national star,” Ball State University President Geoffrey S. Mearns said in a statement. “I anticipate their conversation will be very special. The event is part of the “David Letterman Distinguished Professional Lecture and Workshop Series” and he has previously hosted TV legend Oprah Winfrey and entrepreneur Biz Stone.

Ball State seems like a fitting setting for Clark to make an appearance during the offseason after she became an instant superstar with the Indiana Fever after the team drafted her first overall in the WNBA draft.

Clark broke multiple WNBA and Fever records during her Rookie of the Year campaign this summer as the phenom helped lead the franchise to a playoff appearance.

Clark had broken league rookie records for most points scored (769) and most 3-pointers (122).

Her 337 assists were both the rookie and the WNBA single-season records.

Letterman went to see Clark play in August at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and the two posed for photos together after the game.

Clark has been keeping busy during her first offseason as a pro player.

She nearly made a hole-in-one while out on the links last month and attended the Taylor Swift concert at Lucas Oil Stadium earlier this month.

She was also in attendance for Stephanie White’s introductory press conference as the Fever’s next head coach.
