Terry Bradshaw says he is ‘filing a protest’ after Michael Strahan dig

After an amusing exchange with co-hosts Michael Strahan and Howie Long, veteran broadcaster Terry Bradshaw showed he was in no mood to take their jibes lying down as he fired back

Terry Bradshaw was unable to escape some light mockery from his co-stars on FOX NFL Sunday as Michael Strahan and Howie Long were left amused by his analysis – leading the veteran broadcaster to claim he is “filing a protest”.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers stalwart has been part of the furniture on the show for three decades, first taking his spot in the studio back in 1994. However, the four-time Super Bowl champion showed his age somewhat in Week 9 as he mimicked turning a TV on – as he pushed back at his colleagues in an amusing exchange.

The analyst was giving a routine verdict after the Atlanta Falcons pulled of a hard-fought 27-21 win over the Dallas Cowboys, the pundit praising the performance from the victors. Giving special mention to quarterback Kirk Cousins, the one-time NFL MVP described the Falcons as “talented”

Effusive in his praise, he said: “Atlanta is one of the football teams I will turn the television on to watch. I love Kirk Cousins. I love the way he performs. He’s smart, he’s accurate. This is an excellent offense that is loaded with talent.”

However, it was clear that his hand gestures during his address had led to some amusement in the studio, with his co-hosts unable to resist the opportunity to mock the veteran broadcaster. Instead of mimicking using a remote, the 76-year-old posed as if he twisting a knob on the TV.

This inspired Long to ask: “How do you turn on the TV when you watch the game? Show me how you turn the TV on,” with Bradshaw made the action again, as his co-host interjected adding: “There’s a remote, my god! You don’t go like that,” as Strahan quipped: “Not only that, if it’s not clear he goes up and does that (mimicking an antenna).”
Michael Strahan and Howie Long could not resist making fun of veteran co-star Terry BradshawThe mockery in the studio appeared to leave Bradshaw a tad wounded as he fired back at his colleagues, saying: “This is not funny, America. I’m filing a protest,” as laughter rang around the room, as Long remarked: “Oh, it’s funny.”

Amid some light prodding from his co-stars, Bradshaw also got in on the act as he was left in hysterics at another point in the show after Tom Brady was on the receiving end of lighthearted jibe. This time around, Strahan made fun of the retired quarterback as his hair appeared undamaged by the torrential ran while watching the clash between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions.

The Fox host laughed: “You know Tom, you talked about how we looked all night in this warm studio I believe it was raining out there. But your hair, that mousse is holding your hair up pretty good. You don’t look like you’re exactly soaking my friend?”
