Caitlin Clark makes golf fans jealous after sporting custom-made Nike shoes on course

Caitlin Clark’s rookie season is over, but the WNBA phenom still caused a riot online after fans spotted her custom trainers while she played a round of golf with Lexie Hull

Fans are begging for Nike to release shoes worn by Caitlin Clark after the WNBA superstar donned a custom pair on the golf course.

Back in 2023, Clark enjoyed a record-breaking spell at Iowa, leading the Hawkeyes to back-to-back National Championship appearances while departing college as the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history. She took the sports world by storm recently, headlining a talented class of 2024 set to attract eyes and attention to the WNBA this season.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark swiftly became an ambassador of the Kobe Bryant line for Nike while generating her own signature shoe. She reportedly put pen to paper on a mega eight-year endorsement deal worth $28 million and is earning more than $3 million per season – which is well above her WNBA contract of $338,056 over four years.

Amid immense expectation, Clark dominated on the court, finishing as the WNBA Rookie of the Year after posting 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and a league-leading 8.4 assists per game. However, with the Indiana Fever eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, Clark is now enjoying her first professional offseason.

The All-Star is taking advantage of her time away from basketball ahead of her sophomore season. Clark recently played a round of golf with Fever teammate Lexie Hull, and fans fawned over the guard’s shoes.

Clark hit the course in style, donning a pair of custom Nike Infinity Tour 2 golf shoes. As there is still no release date for her signature kicks, Clark’s custom golf shoes saw fans react frantically on social media.

“@Nike SHOES NOW,” one fan wrote. Another posted: “Golf Shoes [handshake emoji] Basketball Shoes. U already know what to do @Nike”

“You REALLY wanna make bank, @Nike?” another fan wrote. “An addition to the Caitlin 1s, drop some Caitlin Golfs as well for good measure. You’ll thank me later.”

In a recent TikTok video, Clark and Hull offered fans some insight into their round. On a sunny day, Clark teed off, and as soon as she hit it, Hull could be heard saying, “Caitlin, that could be in.

Clark agonizingly missed out on the hole-in-one and ultimately settled for a birdie. Next month, Clark will compete at The Annika alongside Annika Sorenstam, the penultimate event on the LPGA Tour schedule.

Ahead of the tournament, Clark explained just how excited she was for the opportunity to compete in pro-am in a sport that she holds dearly to her chest. The 22-year-old said: “I love golf so the opportunity to play in the Pro-Am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam on it is so exciting.

”I’m looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players on the driving range, being part of the Women’s Leadership Summit, and, of course, teeing it up in the pro-am with Annika.”
