Caitlin Clark reflects on whirlwind WNBA rookie season in emotional Instagram post
Caitlin Clark took a moment Wednesday night to take one last look back at her rookie season in a post on Instagram.
The rookie took the WNBA by storm, simultaneously lifting the league to new heights while serving as a lightning rod for controversy at times.
In a post on social media, she thanked her fans for their support.

“Thank you to the many people who have supported me as I’ve been able to live my childhood dream. I’m filled with gratitude as I reflect on this past year of my life. See you all in year two,” she wrote.
Clark set a number of WNBA and Indiana Fever franchise records as she helped lead her team to a playoff berth for the first time in seven years.
Clark finished this season with 19.2 points per game during the regular season along with 8.4 assists and 5.7 rebounds.
She set a number of WNBA records, including assists in a season (337) and in a game (19), along with rookie records for points (769), assists, 3-pointers (122) and triple-doubles (2).

In her final game of the season — a Game 2 first-round playoff loss to the Connecticut Sun — Clark had a game-high 25 points on 10-for-23 shooting.
She was named the Associated Press Rookie of the Year for her play on the court and was named to the AP All-WNBA First Team.
Clark joined Aliyah Boston as the only Fever players ever to earn AP Rookie of the Year honors.

While Clark has had a number of wild moments on the court, the one she told “60 Minutes” she’d remember the most had been when she had her eardrum ruptured on a hard screen in an early game against the Liberty.
“I think that just kind of speaks to the physicality of the league,” Clark said. “That’s probably more memorable.”
