Angel Reese gave a serious warning to Kiyan Anthony, a 17-year-old basketball prospect, about his love life as she welcomed him onto her podcast.
Kiyan, son of basketball legend Carmelo, is set to announce his college decision in two weeks in a big step for a career that many have predicted will see him follow his dad into the NBA.
But as his fame and profile grows, WNBA star Reese gave him a serious warning about his life away from the court in his ‘Unapologetically Angel’ appearance.
‘You need to be careful,’ she said. ‘When you go to the league – this is coming from ‘sis’ – even when you’re in college, you need to be careful with these women.
‘No, for real. One slip up – you be seeing these stories? Ki, don’t do it. I’m coming after y’all. These women – because you’re 17 – it’s the women you’ve got to worry about that’s a lot older too. Be careful.’
Angel Reese gave a serious warning to Kiyan Anthony about dating older women
The 17-year-old Anthony is expected to eventually follow his dad as an NBA player
The viral clip has been viewed over three million times on X and while plenty of fans are praising Reese for looking out for Anthony, other fans also think she is referencing Draya Michelle.
The 39-year-old Michelle just had a child with Houston Rockets star Jalen Green who, at 22 years old, is the same age as her oldest son.
‘Draya caught a stray, lol,’ said one fan in the replies, while another commented: ‘Angel is talking to straight to Draya.’
A different X user wrote back: ‘Might as well say Draya and call it a day.’
Reese also had some advice for Kiyan when he said he planned to mainly host parties at his house instead of going out.
You can’t be having anybody over there,’ she told him. ‘And you tell them girls to drop their phone at the door.
‘It’s hard to tell somebody that, but if they don’t respect that, they gotta leave. Just make sure nobody recording.’
Reese stunned earlier this week with her appearance at a fashion award show in New York
Reese herself has seen her own profile rise dramatically off the back of her rookie WNBA season with Chicago Sky.
Earlier this week, she wowed in a red carpet appearance at a fashion awards in New York.
Reese’s first WNBA season ended early due to a wrist injury that required surgery but she is expected to be ready to play in the new Unrivaled league that launches in January.
Social media thinks she is referencing Draya Michelle, who at 39 had a kid with Jalen Green, 22
