The WNBA recently announced major news on Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark, following a historic season from the All-Star guard.
Upon the release of the All-WNBA First Team members, it was announced that Clark had earned a spot in the starting five, becoming the first rookie since Candace Parker in 2008 to make the first team.
Clark joined A’ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier, Alyssa Thomas and Breanna Stewart on the All-WNBA First team roster.
Wilson and Collier were unanimous selections for the All-WNBA First Team, while Clark earned 66 of 67 votes for the first and second-team honors, per Chloe Peterson at the IndyStar.
Clark earned the prestigious honor shortly after winning the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year award with the Fever.
During her first season in the league, the rookie averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game. She led the WNBA in average assists.
In the rookie class, she had the most points with 769, most assists with 337 and most three-pointers made with 122 of any rookie in WNBA history.

Given her tremendous talent on the court, the Fever were able to make their first playoff appearance since 2016. They finished the season with a 20-20 record, listed as the No. 6 team in the WNBA standings.
The addition of Clark helped the Fever drastically improve their win total, previously garnering a 13-27 record in 2023.
