Simone Biles almost got a big check after a night out in Paris.

In a TikTok video, the gymnast, 27, said a club tried to sell her a pricey bottle of champagne when she went out after the closing ceremony at the Olympics on August 11.

“We had closing ceremonies at the Olympics, and I went. And after that we went out. This club tried to charge me $26,000 for a bottle of champagne,” she said.

The 11-time Olympic medalist expressed her shock at the incident. “Like are you insane?” she added.

Biles clarified that she did not purchase the bottle of expensive champagne but continued to express her surprise at the mere suggestion.

“Why would you even try to play me like that? Like that’s wild,” she said in the video, noting that the bartender must have noticed who she was.

“I don’t know… sometimes the attention, I’d rather not have it,” she admitted in the video. “I’d want to just be as normal as possible”

Followers in the comment section were also stunned by the price. One wrote, “$26K??? That’s insane,” while another shared, “26K is crazy omg!”

During the sporting event, the athlete won eight gold medals, breaking the record previously held by Shannon Miller to become the most decorated U.S. gymnast in Olympic history.

She took home the gold medal in the women’s all-around final, gold on vault and a silver on floor, and then won gold in the team all-around competition with her teammates Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera and Jade Carey.

Last week, Biles opened up about the “first meal” she ate after returning home from Paris. She dined at Stick Talk Cajun-Hibachi in Houston, which is a Texas restaurant that combines Japanese and Cajun cuisine.

Biles raved about the restaurant on Threads, saying that it “never misses.”

Stick Talk’s owner told the Houston Chronicle that Biles’ husband Jonathan Owens picked up the takeout order, which included two portions of chicken fried rice with vegetables and spicy garlic butter and a side of noodles.
