Traveling is one of the best ways to truly get to know someone, and this rings true for the once romantically-linked pair, Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque.

Before their high-profile breakup sent the Internet buzzing, the ex-couple reveled in their shared escapades—immersing themselves in Mother Nature, uncovering hidden gems, and embracing a plethora of cultures.

As fans mourn the separation of the two, let’s revisit their most memorable trips abroad.

JAPAN

The Land of the Rising Sun holds a special place in the hearts of Bea and Dominic. It was the first foreign country they explored together as friends in 2019.

Since then, their friendship blossomed, and Japan became a recurring destination for the pair.

Notably, they welcomed the New Year in Japan for two consecutive years—2023 and 2024—proving that the country is truly a special place for them.

The two shared an unforgettable moment at Mount Moiwa in Sapporo, two days after the Christmas of 2023, as they sealed their love with a “love lock,” a gesture immortalized by Bea’s caption.

She wrote, published as is: “Dom and I decided to be cheesy and got ourselves a lovelock and put it on the railings.

“Sabi nila goodluck daw for lovers [emoji] Tinapon na namin yung key, pang forever nato. Hahhahaha”

ITALY

In October 2023, Bea and Dominic journeyed through Italy and embraced the charm of historic cities.

At Lake Como, a boat ride unveiled the timeless beauty of the region, while a visit to Museo Di Castelvecchio in Verona enriched their cultural experience.

Bea’s appreciation for Dominic’s gestures, big and small, flourished during this trip: “We took the train from Lugano to Milan, and from Milan, we had to ride another train to get to Florence. We then rented a car and drove to Tuscany.

“Although I helped, Dom did all the heavy lifting and managed to drive the vehicle.

“We were happy to find out that the beautiful hotel Villa we booked to stay in happens to be a Unesco World Heritage site, and we stuffed our faces with their handmade pasta and perfectly cooked bistecca under the moonlit olive trees.

“This will definitely go to my core memory. Traveling together as a couple allows you to discover the different sides of your partner.

“It still makes my heart melt when Dom helps the old lady carry her suitcase on the train, the way he offers to take a picture of a couple we pass by and promises to send them a high-res version of the photo, and just the way he goes down the hotel in the morning to get me a good cup of coffee.

“No relationship is perfect, but these qualities offset all the others. It’s the little things that make me love him more.”

California, USA

The highlight of their August 2021 California road trip was an adventure through Yosemite National Park, where hiking and exploration became the order of the day.

Bea’s documentation of the three-day excursion conveyed a valuable lesson learned: the beauty of embracing spontaneity.

“We hiked up the Mist Trail to see Vernal Falls and a little bit of the Half Dome [emoji]

“It was beginning to get warm on the way down. Then we saw a beautiful river not so far from the point where we started the hike…

“It was so tempting to jump into the river for a quick swim to just cool off from our walk, but I didn’t bring any swimsuit or extra clothes, so I thought, ‘Nah, it’s okay, maybe next time.’

“But this adventurous human, Amanda, @aamandavillanueva just jumped into the river without giving it a thought, and she was having the time of her life!

“I thought, I don’t know if this will be the last time I’ll ever have the chance to be in Yosemite and who knows when I can be with this fun group again, so what the heck, I’ll just do it! So, I did!

“And the water was freezing, but it was so refreshing! Sometimes, it’s nice not to overthink and just live in the moment.”

Dominic summed up the experience in one sweet line: “Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations.”

Singapore

Bea and Dominic showed that they can be quite the spontaneous travelers, too.

On July 26, 2023, Bea uploaded an Instagram Reel that captured their spur-of-the-moment food crawl in the Lion City, Singapore.

The adorable video of the two sampling scrumptious goodies was posted along with the caption: “We celebrated his bday and our recent engagement. [emoji]

“Literal na tumakbo sa airport after the GMA Gala. We barely made it to our flight! [emoji] Our trip was short but one of the most unforgettable.”

Bea also expressed how Dominic’s love language manifests through Acts of Service: “Check out the clip where he was ironing my clothes, ganyan po sya magmahal.”

Switzerland

Dubbed as the Land of Chocolates and surrounded by majestic waters and the famous Swiss Alps mountain range, Switzerland stands as an irresistible destination for several couples, including Bea and Dominic.

The couple spent their Swiss vacation wandering in Engelberg, a village in central Switzerland with trails that weave up Mt. Titlis.

Uploading a photo with the highest summit of the range north of the Susten Pass as a majestic backdrop, Dominic wrote in his caption: “Mount Titlis wit yu! [snow-capped mountain emoji]
