One could argue that Indiana Fever star NaLyssa Smith brought some unwanted backlash upon herself. This is after the 6-foot-4 forward decided to remove the Fever from her social media bio shortly after Indiana was eliminated in the playoffs.

Smith also came out with an end-of-season statement that had more than a few fans speculating that this was a farewell message from the third-year player. While Smith herself has denied the same, there has still been a growing buzz about her potential offseason exit from Indiana.

It appears that Smith has heard the whispers. On Monday, the 24-year-old came out with a six-word message on X (formerly Twitter) which appears to be addressed to her naysayers.

“not too bad 4 a scrub 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️” Smith wrote as she shared her 2024 highlight reel video that was posted by the Fever.

The tweet drew mixed reviews from the fans. Some supporters stood behind Smith as they called out her haters. Others, however, remain adamant that it would be best for all parties involved if she were to take her talents elsewhere next season.

Smith is still under contract with the Fever through 2025. She will, however, be a free agent at the end of the upcoming season.
