The Caitlin Clark effect hit Dallas, Texas on Sunday when the Indiana Fever traveled to face the Wings.

Indiana took down Dallas 100-93 to secure their fourth straight win of the season. They were led by their All-Star point guard in Caitlin Clark who finished the game with 28 points, 12 assists, and four rebounds.

Following the win for the Fever, Wings star Satou Sabally spoke about the flurry of Caitlin Clark fans that showed up to the game on Sunday.

While she was happy to see a packed house in Dallas, Sabally wasn’t excited to see an opposing team player’s jersey all over the stadium.

Sabally thought it was “annoying” to see Clark fans take over Dallas.

“Obviously, it’s annoying bc there were way too many Caitlin fans in our arena but kudos,” Sabally said. “I feel like our Dallas fans could have done better, I had mixed feelings seeing all the Caitlin jerseys in our home, but it’s an amazing sign for women’s basketball.”

Sabally may have been frustrated with Clark’s impact on the game, both on the hardwood and in the stands, but that’s been a normal story around the league this season.

Clark’s influence on the Indiana Fever has been unprecedented in her rookie season. She’s been able to help spark increases across all platforms for the Fever, like a +1,193% increase in jersey sales, +264.6% in ticket sales, and a +225% boost in corporate partnership.

Clark has also put the Fever in position to make their first WNBA playoff appearance since 2016.

Indiana currently stands as the No. 6 team in the WNBA standings, garnering a 17-16 record. They’re on fire as of late, winning eight of their last 10 games. After the win over Dallas, Clark and the Fever will have a six-game home
