Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark saw her first season in the WNBA come to an end after a Game 2 loss in the WNBA playoffs against the Connecticut Sun.

To cap off what was one of the most historic seasons the league has ever seen, Clark was named to the All-WNBA first team alongside Las Vegas Aces center A’ja Wilson, Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart and Connecticut Sun forward Alyssa Thomas.

In doing so, Clark becomes the first rookie to make the All-WNBA first-team since Los Angeles Sparks legend Candace Parker did so back in 2008.

On Thursday, Parker took to Instagram to share her reaction to the former Iowa Hawkeyes star’s latest achievement, flexing her own in the process.

Clark is the first rookie in 16 years to achieve this feat, but she is just the fifth rookie to make the All-WNBA first-team since 2000, joining Parker, Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi (2004), Seattle Storm guard Sue Bird (2002) and the Fever’s own Tamika Catchings (2002).

Parker played for four seasons with the Tennesee Volunteers from 2004 to 2008 before being selected by the Sparks as the No. 1 pick in the 2008 WNBA draft. During her 16-year career, which included short stints with the Aces and the Chicago Sky, Parker won three WNBA championships, two MVP awards and a Defensive Player of the Year. She was named to an All-WNBA team ten different times.

Like Parker, Clark was also the No. 1 pick and proved exactly why with her play throughout the 2024 season. She led the Fever to their first postseason appearance in eight years while breaking many records, including the single-season assists record and the most points by a rookie.
