The 2024-25 women’s college basketball season has begun. While a few of the juggernaut programs, like South Carolina and UConn stand atop the standings, the TCU Horned Frogs have made their voice heard in the early days of the season.

TCU defeated No. 13 NC State on Nov. 17, 76-73. In the upset victory for the Horned Frogs, Hailey Van Lith posted her first career 10-assist double-double, with 18 points and 10 assists.

Van Lith also eclipsed the 2K-point club, now in her fifth season of college basketball.

After an accomplished outing for Van Lith, she took to social media to share a few action shots from the game against NC State.

“chop wood carry water,” Van Lith captioned the post.

Upon the release of the photos, Los Angeles Sparks star Cameron Brink commented on Van Lith’s post.

“Proud of youuuu,” Brink said.

Van Lith is currently playing in her first season with the Horned Frogs. She transferred to TCU after playing one season with the LSU Tigers and three seasons with the Louisville Cardinals.

The 23-year-old is averaging 17.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 8.0 assists with the Horned Frogs. She’s led the program to a 4-0 record, including the upset win over the Wolfpack.

While Van Lith is taking over the women’s basketball scene in the NCAA, Brink was doing the same during her rookie year with the Sparks.

Brink’s season was cut short after 15 games, due to an ACL injury, but the Los Angeles center was in the early Rookie of the Year conversation, averaging 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.

At the time of the injury, Brink led the league in blocks per game, proving to be one of the best two-way players in the league.
