While the WNBA season has ended for the Indiana Fever, their mainstay player Lexie Hull has diverted her attention to changing the basketball landscape. The 25-year-old is trying to make an impact through her work and what better than to use her skills? However, it is a $27M worth Celtics legend who is headlining the project and has also included the Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George in his initiative.
As per the FORM’s website, Hull and George are the ambassadors for the brand. Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics legend Gordon Hayward is the co-founder along with Former NCAA Player/Coach, Emerson Kampen. The project aims to provide an accessible tool for aspiring basketball players to improve their shooting technique while helping others realize their dream of basketball.
The design features a cube-shaped tool that helps with the proper placement of the hand and the elbow-wrist alignment that would help the players reach their true potential and shoot magnificently. Another innovative feature of the tool is that it provides instantaneous feedback to the hoopers who can check and work on their technique if need be. “My greatest hope in getting the word out about FORM is that the players will improve their shooting skills and confidence, and ultimately deepen their love for the game of basketball,” said Hayward.
As per PR News Wire, Hayward shared the benefits of using the FORM and how it is a problem solver in today’s age. “It’s counterproductive to spend hours shooting with incorrect technique, especially when there’s a more effective and efficient way to practice. The FORM is like having a shooting coach in the palm of your hand, instantly signaling how to optimize performance and ensure consistency over the long-term–so players really can get closer to perfecting their shot.” And this would just add up to his already towering net worth.
Hayward has a net worth of approx $27.6 million. In 2017, the Indiana-born inked a deal with the Boston Celtics worth $128 million for a period of four years. Following his historic deal, Hayward also signed contracts for endorsements and other such initiatives which only helped him amass more wealth. The last he was seen was with the Oklahoma City Thunder and post that, he announced his retirement on social media in August. Meanwhile, Hull and George would be happy to make a social impact, something that Hayward had done with his Daddy’s Always Happy campaign.
Gordon Hayward isn’t new to foster a culture of change
Hayward was about to become the father to a third baby in 2018 when he shared a cute video of his family which was termed as the gender reveal video. Following this revelation that he would be a father to a third daughter, he was asked by his wife, if he was happy. To which, the 6 feet 7 inches former NBA star replied, “Daddy’s Always happy.”
Post that, he teamed up with an e-commerce platform to produce a line of T-shirts with the same words in print. The proceeds from this sale were said to have been given to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, which provides help to 21-year-olds or under-parents so that they can raise their kids.
Therefore, even during this project, Hayward would be hoping that Hull and George contribute their best in making an impact in the basketball circles. Hopefully, this will turn out to be a positive venture for all.
