Caitlin Clark’s WNBA Rookie of the Year announcement has led to thousands of reactions on social media, congratulating the first-year star on her accomplishment.
Aliyah Boston was one of the many people who tipped her hat to the rookie, sending a message to Clark online.
“Back to Back ROY,” Boston said. “We love to see it.”
As Boston mentioned, the Fever now have two Rookie of the Year winners in back-to-back seasons. Boston won the prestigious award in 2023 and Clark took home the trophy in 2024.
During her 2023 Rookie of the Year campaign, Boston posted 14.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
In her second year in the league, Boston averaged 14.0 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. She was extremely efficient throughout the regular season, shooting 53.9% from the field and 73.6% from the free throw line.
Boston stepped up when the Fever needed her most, recording two double-doubles against the Connecticut Sun in the Fever’s first-round playoff loss in 2024.
In Game 1 of the series, Boston posted 17 points and 11 rebounds, shooting 57.1% from the field. After her WNBA playoff debut, she notched 16 points and 19 rebounds in Game 2.
