UEFA has performed a huge U-turn on Jude Bellingham’s sanction following his X-rated gesture against Slovakia at Euro 2024.
Bellingham rescued England in their last-16 clash against Slovakia as he scored a stunning bicycle kick goal to send the game into extra-time.
During his goal celebration, he seemingly aimed a gesture at the Slovakia bench.
After the 2-1 victory, the Real Madrid superstar took to social media to clarify his gesture.
UEFA wrote to the midfielder to ask him to explain his actions, while the organisation also contacted the Slovakian FA for their reflections on the alleged offence.
After UEFA’s investigation, Bellingham was handed a monetary fine – worth a believed €30,000 (£25,000).

But UEFA has NOW given Bellingham a one-match ban for ‘violating the basic rules of decent conduct’.
However, his suspension is valid for a year so he will be able to play against Switzerland on Saturday.
On Bellingham’s punishment, a statement read: “Said suspension is not immediately enforced and is subject to a probationary period of one year, starting from the date of the present decision.”
The 21-year-old has started all four of England’s games at Euro 2024, scoring two goals.
He headed home his side’s only against in their tournament opener against Serbia before netting a vital strike against Slovakia.
Bellingham is set to start against the Swiss, having been cleared to play.
