Manchester United will be hoping for a better season under Erik ten Hag.
Roy Keane has picked out three Manchester United players he’s concerned about ahead of the new season.
Heading into the new campaign, United boss Erik ten Hag has a point to prove after a largely disappointing 23/24 season.
The Red Devils finished eighth in the Premier League and were also knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage.
However, they did manage to end the season on a high by winning the FA Cup.
So far this summer, United have brought in Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui in a bid to provide Ten Hag with a squad capable of challenging right at the top.
However, former United captain Keane has picked out the two areas he’s worried about heading into Friday night’s Premier League opener against Fulham.
Speaking in the latest episode of Stick to Football, brought to you by Sky Bet, he said: “It’s always a worry for me about competing. I still worry about the spine of that Manchester United team. For all the nice play they have and good players, I still worry about the goalkeeper and strikers.
“On paper, they have a decent squad, but the reality is when they’ve played games, and last year with their record in the league they were so open. If you’re on about competing, I worry about the spine of the team.”
Goalkeeper Andre Onana was often under fire last season after he made multiple mistakes leading to goals.
Meanwhile, striker Rasmus Hojlund’s first campaign as a United player was hampered by injury.

The Danish international is currently sidelined after suffering an injury in the friendly match against Arsenal during their pre-season tour of the United States.
Meanwhile, 23-year-old Zirkzee will surely take time to adapt to the Premier League after only joining the club last month.
Ex-United and England fullback Gary Neville added: “Injuries are the massive thing for Manchester United.
“The left back is a problem because if [Luke] Shaw is out the drop off is massive. I do think they’ll get into the top four if they stay clear of injuries.”
