A Man United transfer collapsed on two occasions due to medical exams being failed.
A player’s dream move to Manchester United fell through after he failed a medical on two different occasions, it has been revealed.
In January, United were looking to bring in a third choice goalkeeper following on from Nathan Bishop signing permanently with Sunderland.
Andre Onana became United’s No.1 immediately after signing last summer, with Altay Bayindir coming in as deputy and making just one appearance after signing from Fenerbahce.
But in the middle of the season, the Red Devils wanted extra cover in the position and looked to do a deal for 23-year-old Toby Savin.
United, Newcastle and Spurs had been keeping tabs on Savin over a three-year period.
While he was at Accrington Stanley, United had everything in place to bring him in.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Savin failed his medical and the transfer collapsed.

He had been suffering from a shoulder injury which restricted his game-time in 2023/24.
It’s claimed that a second attempt was made this summer, with Savin leaving Accrington Stanley on a free.
But again it’s reported that Savin was unable to pass the necessary medical tests last month, leaving him in limbo.
However, at the end of June, Savin found a new club as he penned a two-year contract with Shrewsbury Town in League One.
Commenting on the signing, manager Paul Hurst said: “Toby attracted interest from clubs higher up the leagues.
“He is a player with plenty of potential and has all the attributes to be a really good goalkeeper.
“Our job is to make sure he fulfils that and becomes the best version of himself.”

Tom Heaton, who spent the summer in a coaching role with England at Euro 2024, signed a one-year contract extension at United.
The 38-year-old is in his second spell at Old Trafford but has made just the one official appearance since returning in 2021.
