Manchester United could been told to make a stunning move for a Liverpool star

Erik ten Hag has been tipped to make a huge move for one of Liverpool’s most important players.

New Liverpool boss Arne Slot has a number of pressing transfer issues to take care of after replacing Jurgen Klopp and United have been tipped to take advantage.

Dwight Yorke is watching closely how Liverpool fare under Slot and believes they could lose one of their key players to their fierce rivals if he struggles to hit the ground running in England.

Yorke thinks United should be monitoring Trent Alexander-Arnold’s situation and be ready to pounce if the opportunity arises to sign the England international despite him being a boyhood Liverpool supporter.

“I’m not sure Trent Alexander-Arnold would want to leave Liverpool as it’s his boyhood club, but Liverpool will be under transition now Jurgen Klopp has left. Maybe, Alexander-Arnold can evolve as a midfielder under Slot,” he told Best Online Poker Sites.

“This could be another opportunity where, if Liverpool don’t perform under Slot and Alexander-Arnold becomes unhappy, Man United should do everything they can to sign him.

“I was the first person to suggest that Man United should have signed Leroy Sane started to become frustrated at Man City when he was on the bench frequently, now he’s one of the best players in Germany.

“Alexander-Arnold may have a similar opportunity which Man United should pounce on. “Obviously, there is history between the clubs and Alexander-Arnold will know that as an Englishman, but it can be an opportunity to look out for.”

Alexander-Arnold’s future at Anfield is currently unclear with his current deal set to expire in 2025 but it’s extremely difficult to see him ever lining up for United.

Back in 2007, Liverpool attempted to bring United defender Gabriel Heinze to the club but the switch was blocked due to the fierce rivalry between the two sides.

The Argentinean defender openly admitted his desire to move to Anfield which caused United fans to turn on him.

He eventually joined Real Madrid and there has not been direct transfer negotiations between the two sides since.
