Manchester United look set to continue their busy transfer window.
Manchester United have reportedly submitted an offer for their fifth signing this summer.
United have been busy in the summer transfer bringing several key players into the squad as they look to improve on a disappointing season which left doubts over the future of manager Erik ten Hag.
Their business paid off in the first match of the 2024/25 Premier League as Joshua Zirkzee, who joined United in July from Bologna, scored the winning goal for his new club against Fulham on Friday.
And new reports suggest that their business in the transfer window is not yet finished, after an initial offer for Ten Hag’s next target has been submitted.

The Norwegian has not featured in either of Burnley’s fixtures so far this season, leading many to believe that he may be set to depart the club just one season after joining from Sheffield United last summer.
However, new Clarets manager Scott Parker later explained that Berge’s absence from the season opener against Luton Town was due to a small injury, and that he was expected to be available again soon.
Despite this the Englishman refused to rule out a departure for the midfielder this window, leaving the door open for United ahead of the transfer window closing on August 30.
Speaking in a press conference on Thursday, Parker said: “There’s nothing I can report on that. I suspect there will be some movement in the squad, we have a big squad, a lot of numbers.”

But Berge is not the only midfielder that United are set to pursue in the final weeks of the transfer window, as the club are also admirers of Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte.
Ugarte is seen as the preferred option for United, but only if PSG are prepared to lower their asking price for the Uruguayan in order to facilitate a deal.
As it stands, the French champions are unwilling the accept any lower than the £52m they paid for the midfielder when they signed him from Sporting Lisbon last year, a price that United are not prepared to pay.
