Fans can’t believe the performance from this surprise player.
Manchester United fans have praised one surprise player after winning their season opener against Fulham.
The 2024/25 Premier League season got off to a good start for United after a late winner from new signing Joshua Zirkzee secured the three points against Fulham at Old Trafford on Friday.
The London club started the game as the better side but as the game went on, United had several big chances to win the match but failed to find the back of the net until the 87th minute.
But, while Zirkzee’s debut goal will be the main talking point, another surprise player stood out to fans on social media.

Casemiro had one of his best performances in a Manchester United shirt in the Premier League opener, playing a crucial role in the goal by setting up Alejandro Garnacho who played the ball to Zirkzee.
One fan claimed: “Casemiro has been nothing short of world class tonight.”
Another agreed, writing: “Best player on the pitch. Fair play, Casemiro 👏🏽”
While another praised the 32-year-old for his speed and reaction time despite his age, writing: “Casemiro looks completely different from the player he was towards the end of last season. Quicker, more alert and way too solid for his age 👏🏽”
The Brazilian midfielder also posed an attacking threat himself, taking three shots in the match and creating a further three chances, including the goal.
Not only this, but the former Real Madrid man ran the game from midfield, boasting 84% pass accuracy with six ball recoveries and four clearances.

Casemiro joined the Manchester club from Real Madrid in August 2022 in a deal worth up to £70million.
The contract sees the midfielder reportedly earning £350,000, with him signing to stay at United for four years with an option to extend for one more year.
He impressed in his first season in the Premier League but failed to keep up the good performances last season, leading some fans to call for him to be sold.
But, if he can continue to play as he did against Fulham on Friday, fans can expect Casemiro to play a big role in Manchester United’s season.
