Up to eight players could leave Liverpool in the coming weeks, it has been claimed.
Liverpool are reportedly set for a eight-player exodus under Arne Slot as the summer transfer window draws to a close.
The Reds are yet to sign a player on a permanent deal, which will mark a full calendar year without a new addition if they cannot get a move over the line.
According to Fabrizio Romano, they are close to agreeing a €30 million move for Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, although that agreement would see the Georgian return to his current club on loan for the 2024/25 season.
On the outgoing front, efforts have been made to sell squad players, while Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara and Adrian were all released.
Sepp van den Berg is reportedly close to sealing a permanent exit for around the club’s £20 million valuation with Brentford interested, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
And up to six more players could join him in leaving Anfield before September 1.
Liverpool have agreed a £10.5 million deal to sell Bobby Clark to RB Salzburg, and will retain an 18.5 per cent sell-on clause as part of the transfer.
Now, according to The Athletic’s James Pearce, a further six deals could follow.

Winger Ben Doak is a surprise candidate to leave the club, as he was earmarked for a key role in Liverpool’s Europa League squad last term and was named in the Scotland squad at Euro 2024. However, a serious knee injury wrecked his campaign – and his Euro 2024 chances.
Midfielder Tyler Morton may also be sold after his successful loan spell with Championship side Hull last season.
And Kaide Gordon, Owen Beck and Stefan Bajcetic are all being considered for loan moves.
Bajcetic is another player who had a sharp rise under Jurgen Klopp, but missed almost the entire 2023/24 season due to adductor injuries that were described partly as ‘severe growing pains’.
The Spaniard was not involved in successor Slot’s first competitive matchday squad for the 2-0 win over Ipswich, and a loan move may be seen as the perfect option for the 19-year-old to regain match fitness and solve Liverpool’s defensive midfield issues next season.
