Liverpool playing 'Slot ball' against Sevilla has got fans talking ahead of the new Premier League season

Liverpool beat Sevilla in a pre-season game ahead of the new season.

‘Slot Ball’ was in full flow as Liverpool showed off their new style of play against Sevilla in a pre-season friendly on Sunday.

Arne Slot took charge of his first game at Anfield, having led his new side in their pre-season tour of the United States, where they beat Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Slot’s team made light work of Sevilla, beating them 4-1 – with Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz (x2) and Trey Nyoni all getting on the score-sheet.

And Liverpool fans can’t get enough of their third goal as it showed ‘Slot Ball’ in full flow.

They went back to front in stunning style, with Diaz rounding off the move with a goal.

The move began with Virgil van Dijk passing the ball to Alisson, who picked out Mohamed Salah with a long pass.

Salah held the ball before playing a pass to Jota, who hit a first-time through ball to Dominik Szoboszlai.

From there, Szoboszlai carried the ball before squaring to Diaz, who made no mistake in front of goal.

Liverpool fans loved the goal as they hailed ‘Slot ball’.

One X user wrote: “We’re cooking man ARE YOU WATCHING ZUBIMENDI.”

Liverpool also face Las Palmas today before opening their new campaign next Saturday at Ipswich Town.
