Liverpool and Man Utd to 'hold talks' with Euro 2024 star over stunning free transfer

Several clubs are in for the Euro 2024 star, who is a free agent.

Liverpool and Manchester United are set to ‘hold talks’ with a Euro 2024 star over a stunning free transfer.

Liverpool have yet to recruit any new players since the arrival of Arne Slot, who replaced Jurgen Klopp.

Man United, however, have snapped up forward Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna, with further signings in the works.

The Red Devils have a deal in place to sign Leny Yoro, who completed the first part of his medical ahead of a proposed £52 million transfer from Lille.

And, according to reports, Liverpool and Man United are set to go head-to-head for Adrien Rabiot, who is set to leave Juventus as a free agent.

His contract at Juve has expired and he will officially announce his departure from the club this week.

Rabiot started all but one of France’s games at Euro 2024 as they were eliminated by eventual winners Spain in the semi-finals.

The midfielder intends to ‘hold talks’ with several clubs as he weighs up his next move of his career.

Liverpool and Man United are among his suitors, according to Football Italia.

Newcastle United are also interested in signing the 29-year-old this summer.

Napoli, who appointed Antonio Conte, are keeping tabs on him, too, not to mention AC Milan.

The report states that he’s believed to be seeking a contract worth €9 million (£7.6 million) per season, which could be difficult to come by in Italy.

But his wage demands could be met in the Premier League, with Liverpool, Man United and Newcastle in the mix.

Rabiot graduated from Paris Saint-Germain’s youth academy before breaking into the first-team, where he made 227 appearances across all competitions.

The Frenchman joined Juve in the summer of 2019, notably winning the Serie A title in the 2019/20 season.

A move to England could be on the cards following the expiration of his current deal.
