Yoro has reacted after a positive first 45 minutes in United colours.
Leny Yoro has sent a message to Manchester United fans following his impressive debut against Rangers at Murrayfield.
United won 2-0 against their Scottish opponents in the pre-season friendly, with goals from Amad Diallo and Joe Hugill arriving either side of half-time.
Fans also witnessed Jadon Sancho in a United shirt for the first time in August after the winger was reintegrated into the squad following positive talks with manager Erik ten Hag.
There was also a first pre-season appearance with Andre Onana, who will hope to build on his strong form during the second half of last season when the new campaign kicks off next month.
But a lot of the talk surrounding the fixture involved 18-year-old Yoro, who officially moved to Old Trafford from Lille on Thursday after United paid an initial fee of £50 million plus £12 million in future add-ons.
The France centre-back impressed during his debut, playing the full first half and showing composure and assurance on the ball.
After the match, Yoro spoke to MUTV to give his thoughts on his debut – and he sent a message to United fans.
He said: “I want to say thank you to the fans – I hope to see you soon in Old Trafford!
“It [my debut] was incredible. I am happy with my performance. The staff make me comfortable. For me it is really good.
“We go to America for three competitive games. The team will give everything to win them.”
United’s tour of the States will encompass fixtures against Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool, before the FA Cup winners contest the Community Shield against reigning Premier League champions Manchester City on August 10.
They make their 2024/25 Premier League bow six days later when they host Everton at Old Trafford.
