Laura Woods will start new job straight after Euro 2024 finishes

Laura Woods won’t get much time to rest after the Euro 2024 tournament finishes.

Laura Woods will start a new presenting job straight after the Euro 2024 tournament finishes.

The 37-year-old has been fronting ITV’s coverage of the tournament in Germany, sharing duties with Mark Pougatch.

But she will not be getting much rest after the showpiece is wrapped up on 14 July.

That’s because Woods has been confirmed as one of the presenters for the upcoming Olympics in Paris.

The BBC will be showing all the events from the French capital but Broadcast Sport presenter of the year winner Woods will be working for Discovery Plus across all the action.

Woods will present live coverage on Eurosport UK – starting with the opening ceremony on 26 July.

She will also host the evening show ‘Bonsoir Paris’ at 9pm every day.

Other presenters include Craig Doyle, Matt Smith, Laura Winter and Orla Chennaoui, while Tom Daley, Carl Frampton, Ellie Simmonds and Adam Blythe are among the list of pundits.

Woods is still contracted to TNT Sports, which became the new name for the merger between BT Sport and Eurosport.

She presents coverage of the Champions League on the channel and also hosted boxing events such as the superfight between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury.

On ITV, she is the main presenter for England women’s games and NFL action, and was previously the anchor for the talkSPORT breakfast show.

Woods spent 13 years working for Sky Sports, initially as a runner in 2009 and worked her way up to one of the most popular presenters in the game.
