The reporter was shocked after Walker gave his answer.
Kyle Walker left a reporter shocked when he named his existing trophies that he would trade in ‘without question’ to win Euro 2024 with England.
Walker has started every game for England at Euro 2024, having started the tournament at right-back before moving to the right side of a central defensive trio from the quarter-final onwards.
It has been a solid tournament for the 34-year-old, who produced comfortably his best display of Euro 2024 in the 2-1 win over the Netherlands in the semi-final.
Walker arrived in Germany off the back of another trophy-winning season with Manchester City after Pep Guardiola’s side lifted the Premier League for the fourth consecutive time.
The City captain has won 17 trophies while at the club, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League crown.
Walker has also lifted four EFL Cups and two FA Cups during his seven-year spell at the Etihad Stadium.
As a result, talkSPORT presenter Faye Carruthers asked Walker how much it would mean to him to lift a trophy with England.
And the full-back’s answer may surprise fans.
He said: “I was saying to Harry Kane this morning. Not all the trophies that I’ve won for Manchester City – I’d like to keep one of each – but every other one I’d quite happily swap for this one. Without a question, I’d give it you now.”
Walker was also asked about Gareth Southgate’s future in charge, with the England boss yet to make a decision about whether he will stay in his post even if England win the final on Sunday.
He said: “Not many managers can say they’ve achieved in an England shirt what he’s achieved. Whatever Gareth would like to do, that’s down to him.
“He convinced me to carry on after Qatar. So maybe I ask in return, or for the favour, for him to carry on. But again, he’s the boss, he’s the gaffer and he needs to make sure that he gets to decide his own destiny.”
