Liverpool fans were furious after an Ipswich Town player was not shown a red card at Portman Road.
Liverpool fans have been demanding an explanation after being furious with Ipswich Town player Wes Burns remaining on the pitch in the season opener.
The Reds travelled to Portman Road to play the newly-promoted side in a lunchtime kick-off.
Arne Slot’s side struggled for large periods, failing to have a shot on target in the first half and being cut open on a number of occasions.

But they felt aggrieved after Ipswich winger Burns was not sent off despite being involved in a number of incidents.
The 29-year-old was booked for a foul but proceeded to handle the ball and slap the ball out of the path of Diogo Jota towards the end of the first half.
It looked incredibly deliberate and worthy of a yellow card, with Slot appealing on the touchline.
Burns had also handled the ball earlier on in the game and Liverpool fans were left baffled as to how he didn’t receive a second yellow card.
A second said: “Imagine if this was a Liverpool player, that’s a second yellow without VAR.
A third commented: “This is what I mean, how on earth is VAR not allowed to intervene on that? It’s a blatant handball, meaning a 2nd yellow card.
A fourth fumed: “Yes, this should have been a second yellow for Wes Burns. Care to give an explanation @PLMatchCentre?”.
Another final person vented: “Two deliberate handballs by Wes Burns, booked for a foul and somehow still on the pitch.”
To make matters worse for Liverpool, Burns was forced off with a hamstring injury at the start of the second half and replaced by new signing Ben Johnson.

Yet the Reds opened the scoring on the hour mark, with Mo Salah racing in behind the Ipswich backline and setting up Jota for a simple finish.
Salah then doubled Liverpool’s lead with a record ninth goal on the Premier League opening weekend.
