Football fans are losing their minds after one player snubbed from PFA Team of the Year

Fans are not happy with the PFA Premier League team of the season.

The Professional Football Awards Premier League Team of the year has been announced, and fans are not happy.

The annual PFA ceremony is taking place in Manchester tonight, with some of the best footballers in the world in attendance.

Every year, players from each of the English leagues vote for eleven of their peers to make it into the PFA Team of the Year.

And following the announcement of the Premier League Team of the Year, fans are not happy after one big name was left out.

Despite scoring 22 goals and registering 11 assists in the Premier League last season, Chelsea star man Cole Palmer was left out of the team.

Reacting to his absence, one fan wrote: “What on earth is that? No Palmer in the TOTY?”

A Chelsea fan agreed, writing: “So the person with the most G/A didn’t get in? What?”

While another added: “As Mourinho once said there’s an agenda against Chelsea.”

One fan joked: “Is Watkins just British Slang for Cole Palmer? I speak American English so maybe it’s just a Color vs Colour thing too?”

Another angrily wrote: “Cole Palmer not being included in the PFA team of the year is absolutely scandalous and another reason why these sort of awards shouldn’t be taken seriously.”

The full Premier League team of the year is: David Raya, William Saliba, Virgil Van Dijk, Gabriel Magalhaes, Kyle Walker, Rodri, Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Ollie Watkins.

Therefore, the team included five players from Arsenal, four from Manchester City and one each from Liverpool and Aston Villa.

Earlier in the evening, Palmer was awarded with the PFA Young Player of the Year trophy, so his absence from the team of the year seems particularly strange.

The PFA Players’s Player of the Year award was given to Phil Foden, who scored 19 goals last season for Premier League champions Manchester City.
