Simone Biles was in action as she chased more Olympic medals.
Footage has emerged showing Simone Biles’ reaction to her teammate winning bronze at the Olympics.
On Monday afternoon, the Artistic Gymnastics schedule came to a close with the women’s floor final.
American Biles, 27, headed into the event as one of the firm favourites along with Brazilian star Rebeca Andrade.
Earlier in the day, Biles was denied a medal in the beam final after she made a rare mistake.
The American superstar regained her composure and scored 14.133 for her floor routine.
However, she was beaten to the gold medal by Andrade who scored 14.166. Biles stepped outside of the floor on two occasions, which resulted in a penalty of -0.6.
Biles’ teammate Jordan Chiles had her score changed to 13.700 after an inquiry, which meant she managed to win the bronze medal.
Overcome with joy, Chiles was visibly emotional as Biles celebrated with her teammate. You can watch the footage below.
Reacting on social media, one said: “Simone Biles happier for Jordan Chiles’ bronze medal than her own 11th Olympic medal!”
Another tweeted: “I felt like she couldn’t really celebrate how she wanted after seeing Jordan miss the podium by 0.034 points … as soon as she saw Jordan won, I think finally enjoyed it.”
A third fan added: “Simone is their defacto big sister/mom so of course she is always gonna be so happy for them.”

Someone else wrote: “Biles’ reaction to Chiles getting a bronze is EVERYTHING.”
A fifth commented: “WOW. I just burst into tears for Jordan Chiles. Her reaction! Her parents’ reactions! Simone Biles celebrating with her! Gosh, I love gymnastics.”
Speaking after winning silver, Biles said: “Today has been wild.
“I’ve been out on that floor so many times this week, so exhaustion sets in… I’m not very upset or anything. I’m happy, proud and even more excited that it’s over.”
Earlier in the competition, Biles was asked about her future in the sport, she said: “Never say never. Next Olympics are at home. So you just never know. I am getting really old.”
