Fans spot Man City players SNUB teammate during Community Shield celebrations

A Manchester City player was snubbed of lifting the Community Shield during their celebrations.

Fans online spotted a Manchester City player being savagely snubbed by his teammates during the Community Shield celebrations.

Manchester City beat Manchester United on penalties to win the Community Shield.

Bernardo Silva headed home one minute before time to cancel out Alejandro Garnacho’s goal in the 82nd minute.

The Wembley Stadium showdown was forced into a penalty shootout, where the defending Premier League champions beat the FA Cup holders 7-6.

Manuel Akanji slotted home after Jonny Evans had blazed his effort over the bar.

After the result, the Man City team celebrated their triumph over Man United, with Kevin De Bruyne raising the Community Shield.

De Bruyne then passed it to Ruben Dias, who raised the Community Shield before giving it to his fellow defender Akanji.

In doing so, Dias brutally snubbed Savinho, who made his debut for the Blues following his signing from Troyes this summer.

Savinho, who spent last season on loan at Girona, impressed as he looked lively in normal time before converting a spot-kick in the shootout.

But he didn’t get his hands on the Community Shield during the celebrations.

Needless to say, the moment sent social media wild.

One X user wrote: “He looks so confused.”

A second wrote: “He kept eyeing it he wanted to lift it so bad.”

A third added: “I saw this while watching they didn’t even notice him.”

A fourth observed: “Even during the game, he was often overlooked and shunned for easy passes. Seems like he is going to have prove and fight for his place in this serial trophy winning City side.”

Another said: “I saw this while watching it on TV, it seemed crazy to me!!! Don’t know why he did it.”

The Brazilian, however, eventually celebrated with the Community Shield as he was pictured with the prize alongside Erling Haaland and Pep Guardiola.
