Fabrizio Romano has dropped huge news on Dani Olmo’s future.
Olmo was among the stars of the European Championship, scoring a joint-tournament best of three goals as Spain claimed their first Euro crown since 2012.
Days ago, transfer guru Romano revealed that Olmo has a release clause worth €60million (£50.45million) in his RB Leipzig that expires on July 20 and that several clubs are interested in his services.
However, Romano has since claimed Manchester City are not among the sides looking to sign the Spaniard.
On X, the Italian journalist wrote: “Manchester City sources confirm once again they’re currently not working on a deal to sign Dani Olmo.”
The Manchester Evening News has also stated that City are not expected to pay the release clause for Olmo, despite the 26-year-old offering up another example of his talents against England in the final.
While the player was unable to add to his goal tally for the tournament, he made an invaluable goal-line clearance to deny Marc Guehi an equaliser in the closing stages.
Olmo has insisted he wants to win titles next term, assuring suitors there is still time to activate his release clause.

“If clubs want me, they know what they can do,” he told El Larguero. “There’s time until 20 July for the clause otherwise later it’d be tough negotiations. I’m under contract at Leipzig and I want to win titles.
“I’m not worried. I have my people who take care of everything. I have too much to do with the Euros to think about other things. Especially now with the final ahead. I don’t have anything else on my mind.
“The people I trust already know my opinion and what I want to do. That’s the only thing that matters. All I want is to win and keep winning. I said that when I renewed my contract. They wanted to make a winning project and that is why I renewed. I want to win titles.”
