England fans demand Gareth Southgate makes huge half-time substitution in Euro 2024 final

England fans are not happy with one of their players.

England fans have called for captain Harry Kane to be substituted at half-time of the Euro 2024 final.

The 2024 European Championship final between England and Spain had a very cagey beginning, with both sides settling for a 0-0 score line at half-time.

Spain appeared to have the better of the chances in the half, with Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal troubling the Three Lions on the wings.

England captain Harry Kane struggled throughout the early part of the match, often dropping into midfield and being shown a yellow card in the 25th for a foul on Fabian Ruiz.

And fans have noticed the striker’s lacklustre performance, with many of them calling for his substitution at half-time.

Popular online Football personality Mark Goldbridge wrote on X: “It’s sad but Kane is just so far off the pace again so far.”

Another fan added: “Southgate was never going to do it, but Watkins should have started. Kane hasn’t been good all tournament.”

While another didn’t hold back their disappointment, writing: “Kane is absolute dogs*** I’m sorry. I can’t do this anymore.”

The striker did come close late in the half after Jude Bellingham beat Real Madrid teammate Dani Carvajal and played a pass to Kane at the edge of the box, but the shot was blocked by Manchester City’s Rodri.

But, if he is to be replaced in the match, it is likely that Ollie Watkins will replace the 30-year-old after his heroic winner in the final moments of the semi-final against The Netherlands.
