Damning Cristiano Ronaldo stat emerges during Portugal's Euro 2024 clash against Slovenia

It’s not a good look for Cristiano Ronaldo.

A damning Cristiano Ronaldo statistic emerged online during Portugal’s Euro 2024 clash against Slovenia.

The last-16 tie between Portugal and Slovenia has gone into extra-time following a goalless 90 minutes.

Portugal, who topped Group F, had their chances as Ronaldo failed to find the back of the net.

He tried his luck with a few free-kicks but was unable to add to his international tally.

Ronaldo’s best effort from a dead ball situation was a rocket of a strike, which was parried away by Jan Oblak.

The commentators on BBC urged the Portugal captain to allow one of his teammates to take the next free-kick, with Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes a specialist in set-pieces.

After his latest free-kick, a statistic emerged online, and it doesn’t paint a good picture.

According to WhoScored, Ronaldo has now attempted a staggering 60 shots from free-kicks at major international tournaments, scoring just once.

His only successful free-kick came against Spain when he curled past David de Gea at the 2018 World Cup.

He still hasn’t opened his account at Euro 2024, having played all four of his national team’s matches.

The 39-year-old, however, does have one assist to his name after setting up Fernandes in their 3-0 win over Turkey.
