NFL fans had many priceless reactions to an old clip of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce that resurfaced on Saturday.

Travis Kelce celebrated his 35th birthday on Saturday, two days before the Chiefs hosted the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. To celebrate the big man’s birthday, the Chiefs shared a montage of some of Kelce’s best mic’d up moments.

The first clip shows the All-Pro tight end going over to a Chiefs assistant and requesting that he call his mother, Donna Kelce. Travis tells him to call her and say he doesn’t want macaroni and cheese noodles, but gnocchi noodles instead:

And social media was full of priceless reactions to Travis Kelce’s unusual mid-game request to the assistant:

Travis Kelce is off to a surprisingly slow start for Kansas City this season, with only 15 receptions for 158 yards and no touchdowns. 89 of those yards came in last week’s road win over the Los Angeles Chargers, as Kelce rose to the occasion after Rashee Rice got knocked out of the game with a knee injury.

Of course, fans will recall that Kelce got off to a slow start in 2023 before finishing the season with 93 catches for 984 yards and five touchdowns. In the postseason, Kelce added 32 catches for 355 yards and three touchdowns to help Kansas City repeat as Super Bowl champions.

Travis Kelce Must Step Up With Rashee Rice Out

Kelce’s slow start hasn’t been an issue for the Chiefs yet, as evidenced by their 4-0 record heading into Week 5. But with Rice possibly done for the year, Patrick Mahomes needs his most trusted weapon to step up and regain his Pro Bowl-like form.

When he’s on his game, Kelce is as unstoppable as any other pass-catcher in the league, especially in the postseason. Kansas City needs vintage Travis Kelce down the stretch if they’re to complete the first Super Bowl three-peat.
