Despite Louis Rees-Zammit only being a part of the Kansas City Chiefs team for a short time, he got to have a special experience involving his teammate Travis Kelce‘s girlfriend Taylor Swift that he called “pretty crazy.”

During a conversation with RugbyPass, Rees-Zammit recounted how he got a note from Swift ahead of his training camp experience with the Chiefs. The interviewer asked him about Swift, and although he said that he “didn’t get to meet her,” he revealed, “I went to [an Eras Tour] concert…and I got a handwritten note from her.”

Going into a little detail about what was in the special note from Swift, Rees-Zammit said, “This was before training camp so it was just like, ‘Good luck for the season. Good luck for training camp. I heard you’re doing well,’ stuff like that. So, that was pretty cool.”

“That was pretty crazy, you know, getting a letter from Taylor Swift. But that was kind of the life I was in, and I was just rolling with it,” he concluded, reflecting on his time with the Chiefs.

Rees-Zammit was only with the Kansas City team for a short while. He was signed to the Chiefs in early 2024, but he didn’t end up making their final lineup ahead of the season in the fall. After he was cut, Rees-Zammit signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as part of their practice squad, switching positions from running back to wide receiver.

Despite his limited time with the team, Rees-Zammit appeared to enjoy the experience, praising Patrick Mahomes and Kelce’s skill and character in the new interview.
