Troy Aikman and Joe buck in the Monday Night Football booth.

ESPN is one of the NFL’s top broadcasting partners, so it only makes sense for them to acquire some of the top broadcasting talent. The fact that Joe Buck is on their main roster speaks volumes about his talent.

Following a nearly three-decade broadcasting career at Fox Sports, Buck joined ESPN in 2022 as a play-by-play announcer for both MLB and the NFL, so obviously, he covered quite the span of topics in his 30-year career.

One of the most prominent storylines the NFL has ever seen is the relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Fans have been following the world’s biggest pop star and the NFL’s best tight end since they got together in 2023, and analysts, by default, have to follow it, too.

After broadcast partner Troy Aikman referred to Swift as “the missus” during Monday Night Football, Buck quickly corrected his cohort’s mistake, asking Aikman if he knew the couple wasn’t yet married.

Joe Buck’s Daughters Told Him Not To Joke About Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce

Aikman joked that he was “in trouble” for the mishap, to which Buck replied that it happens all the time before explaining that his daughters were constantly warning him about joking at the relationship’s expense.

“My daughters have warned me multiple times today, ‘Dad, I know you think you’re funny. Don’t make any jokes,’” Buck said. It doesn’t seem like he was too bothered by his assumed Swifty daughter’s warnings. However, he did adhere to their warnings.

While the two may have been laughing in the broadcast booth, there is no doubt that Kelce, Swift, and the Chiefs got the last laugh on Monday Night Football as they took a 26-13 victory over the New Orleans Saints to remain undefeated in 2024.
