After a decorated 13-year career with the Philadelphia Eagles, All-Pro center Jason Kelce decided to call it quits and begin a new chapter in NFL broadcasting.
Jason Kelce starred as the Eagles’ center from 2011 to 2013. He led them to seven postseason appearances, two NFC Championship victories and a win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52.
After his retirement, ESPN moved quickly to hire Kelce. He’ll serve as an analyst on their “Monday Night Countdown” program, replacing former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III, who the network let go on Thursday.
So, what does Kylie Kelce think of her husband switching over to a career in front of the cameras? Speaking to People, Kylie expressed full optimism and confidence in Jason Kelce’s ability to flourish in his new career:
“I am mostly excited to see Jason excel in a new position. I jokingly say it’s a pain in the butt that he’s good at everything, and I know I’m biased in that, but I truly believe he’s good at everything because even if he’s not good at the start or the best at the start. He will work, endlessly and tirelessly until he can achieve that. So, I have full faith that he’s going to tackle his new position and excel.
I’m really excited to get to watch him do that. And I think it’s such a shift from sort of physically exerting yourself to getting to sort of showcase your intellectual ability and the way that you analyze games. He’s such an analytical person and so I think that this will be the perfect role for him on Monday night with ESPN. I’m really excited to watch him work.”
🚨MUST WATCH: #Eagles great Jason Kelce gives a really in-depth insight on why Philly collapsed down the road last season.

Kelce will also continue to co-host his popular “New Heights” podcast with younger brother Travis Kelce, whose Kansas City Chiefs aim to complete the first Super Bowl three-peat.
ESPN’s first “Monday Night Football” regular season broadcast of 2024 will take place on Sept. 9, when Aaron Rodgers and his New York Jets come to the West Coast to take on the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium.
And it won’t be long until the 36-year-old Kelce returns to the City of Brotherly Love. The Eagles will host Kirk Cousins’ Atlanta Falcons on “Monday right Football” in Week 2 at Lincoln Financial Field
Plenty Of Excitement Around Jason Kelce & Tom Brady As NFL Analysts
Kelce isn’t the only NFL legend who will begin his career as an analyst this fall. Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady will work as an analyst on FOX Sports with the network’s top commentary team of Kevin Burkhardt and Erin Andrews.
Kelce has shown plenty of humor and character on his podcast, so there’s little doubt he’ll shine in his role at ESPN. As for Brady, well, the most accomplished player in NFL history will be fascinating to listen to as an analyst. One way or another.
