“Time flies,” the Indiana Fever guard wrote alongside an adorable photo of herself as a kid
Before she was a WNBA star, Caitlin Clark was a young basketball player with a big dream.
In an adorable post shared on Instagram by the 22-year-old Indiana Fever guard, Clark wrote, “Time flies 🖤✨,” alongside two photos of herself on the basketball court.
The first picture shows her looking focused during a recent game wearing her Fever jersey and signature white hairband over her ponytail.
In the second photo, a young Clark appears to be wearing a basketball jersey over a white t-shirt. She’s rocking the same hairstyle as she still does today on the court, but the younger version of Clark appeared to opt for a pink hairband in the photo.
Several of Clark’s former Iowa teammates commented on her fun side-by-side.
Former Hawkeyes guard Gabbie Marshall wrote, “Dawwww so cute , miss you & always proud of you.”
Las Vegas Aces rookie Kate Martin, who is a close friend of Clark’s as well as a former Hawkeye, said, “Where has the time gone,” in her comment.
And some of Clark’s current Indiana Fever teammates left comments on Clark’s sweet post.
Fever forward Nalyssa Smith wrote, “caitttyyyy girllll 🖤,” and guard Lexie Hull said, “and we’re still having fun!!!”
Even the official account for Wilson Basketball joined in, writing, “Keep going!”
Wilson is the latest company to sign Clark to a multi-year partnership after The Wall Street Journal and the Athletic reported in April that Clark was on track to ink a $28 million endorsement deal with Nike that will span over the next eight years.
According to multiple reports, Clark’s Nike contract is the largest-ever deal for a WNBA player.
Wilson and Clark announced their partnership on May 21. Clark will “creatively direct her first-ever signature basketball line,” debuting later this year.
Speaking to Boardroom, the Fever star shared the full-circle significance of working with the brand. “I loved that thing more than anything. My brothers and I would always fight over it. That was the best basketball.”
